Renowned for his acting work on stage and screen (the Oscar-nominated film Da 5 Bloods and in Shonda Rhimes’ Scandal), fans of musical theater best know Norm Lewis, the SAG and Tony Award-nominated star, for his booming baritone and the magnetic charisma that has marked every step of his nearly three decades of Broadway excellence.
In his one-man show, Lewis, backed by a trio, will perform a revue of songs hand-picked from his impressive resume of the who’s-show among leading man roles — including Javert in Les Misérables, Porgy in Porgy and Bess, Billy Flynn in Chicago, and the titular characters in The Phantom of the Opera and Sweeney Todd — as well as additional selections ranging from jazz, blues and soul, to pop and classic American favorites.
